Student Services
Student Services
The student services available at the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ICAOM) are designed to support and enhance every aspect of the student's life. The ICAOM offers low cost treatments for students at the school clinic in order to provide them with quality health care, as well as a variety of personal clinical experiences within the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. The school organizes many events in order to provide the students with the opportunity for community involvement, celebration, and relaxation within their busy schedules. The staff and faculty of the ICAOM are always willing to offer academic and financial guidance to the students. Students who have suggestions to aid in the development of the school are always welcome to talk directly with the appropriate member of the staff, and students are asked to complete an evaluation form for each course they complete to help the school improve the curriculum.
High-Speed-Internet-Access
ICAOM has DSL Internet access, students have a fast connection to the Internet. Furthermore, wireless lets you get online quickly.
Housing
There are no residential accommodations for students attending the ICAOM. The island of Oahu has a large number of rental properties available. Students can find housing in a variety of situations including apartments, condominiums, home rentals, or shared living. The staff will be happy to provide additional information upon request
.
Student GrievanceStudents with a grievance about a specific staff or faculty member or any other concern are asked first to attempt to resolve the situation with the individual directly. If the student feels that the grievance was not resolved satisfactorily, the student then must submit his or her grievance in writing to the Director of Student Affairs. The Director will meet with the student, gather any additional information needed, and attempt to resolve the situation. If the student believes that the grievance has not been satisfactorily resolved, the student can request the grievance be brought to the CEO, who will meet separately with the student and with the individual grieved upon, and in consultation with the Committee on Education Policy, will make a final determination as to how the grievance will be resolved. If the student is not satisfied that ICAOM has adhered to this policy or been fair in its handling of the grievance, the student may contact the following agencies:
